Our goods are priced  and invoiced in GBP Sterling.  

Exports

We are used to supplying customers overseas, but special consideration of Carriage is required; see below.
As a very approximate guide: £1, One GBP is about  €1.2, but this rate changes.  Some pages provide a mechanism to estimate what you will be charged, should you normally use € This facility is provided as a guide only; we always invoice you in GBP Sterling.

The prices shown include postage within Great Britain;  please enquire about carriage further, or if you require a courier service.  Prices assume payment through PayPal, where most Credit Cards are accepted.

We value our reputation as a responsible company and we never make a charge for things we do not sell you; we have a history of NOT having disputes with our customers.

Purchase Orders

UK institutions can issue Purchase Orders, for payment 30 days from Invoice date.  Post or fax your Order, on your standard Order Form.

Businesses who wish to order on other terms are welcome to ask for a firm quotation to suit their needs.  Our preferred method of payment is by Bank Transfer directly to HSBC Bank plc, 63 Saint Andrews Street, Cambridge, CB2 3BZ.  Please apply to us for details of our Bank Account and ensure that (our) receiving Bank Charges are paid by you, and advise us when you make a payment this way.

Privacy

We, like all British companies handling data on computers, are registered under the Data Protection Act, which requires us (amongst many other things) to describe to the authorities what use we shall make of the data we keep, and have them record and accept that use, and permits you access to the data about you (for a reasonable fee). In practice when we write an Invoice we do it on a computer and we keep the invoice details for a few months (and our paper copy much longer).

We DO NOT EVER pass this information on, or sell it, to any other company. We never have done so and we expect never to do so in the future. Details of your transaction with us remain private to us and you can expect them to be seen only by our staff and possibly by our professional Auditors. We suffer enough from junk mail and junk email to wish not to inflict any of it on anyone else!

Cookies

We may store information about you using cookies (files which are sent by us to your computer or other access device) which we can access when you visit our site in future. We do this to enable functions like our Shopping Cart. If you want to delete any cookies that are already on your computer, please refer to the instructions for your file management software to locate the file or directory that stores cookies. Guarantee of goods

Our policy has always been to provide all the information a buyer needs to make an informed choice among our products. If you have questions to which you do not see answers we are happy to try to answer those specific questions, if you make clear what your need is and to what product they relate.

For this reason our Guarantee is as follows:- Our hardware products and instruments are guaranteed against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of twelve months from date of purchase.  In practice we stand behind our products, and exchange them if they prove faulty.

In all cases the company shall not be liable for any losses, damage, costs, expenses including (without limitation) any loss of profits, any loss or damage to property and any indirect or consequential loss howsoever caused including any liability to third parties. This Guarantee does not alter your statutory rights, which are described in more detail, for private buyers (not businesses) within the EU here.

Title to goods (that is, ownership) passes to the buyer only when we have received full payment for the goods.
