Subject: [Balloon] No console output on kernel
Balloon people,

I've just been bringing up to date a variant of the Balloon 3 software
build in the menuconfig2 branch. I'm using kernel version 2.6.39.4. I've
updated my patches and the kernel builds fine, but when I try to boot it
(as zImageInitrd) I get no console output. The last thing I see is
'Uncompressing Linux...done, booting the kernel.'.

The kernel is definitely running because I can see LED activity
including the heartbeat, so all is not broken.

I seem to remember that there was some trick to this in the past, but I
can't recall what it was and haven't found anything in the Wiki.

My kernel command line does include the parameter 'console=ttyS2,115200'.

I've also tried building the 'balloon3-tcl-sl40' variant and that *does*
give me a console, so there must be something lurking in a non-obvious
patch somewhere. I'll start rummaging...

Chris
